The Blue Note Songbook
is the motto of the Thomas Kimmerle Jazztet.
On the tableau are well-known and lesser-known tunes from the Blue Note era in the 60s.
The band’s repertoire includes compositions by Hank Mobley, Horace Silver, Thelonious Monk, Bobby Watson & Benny Golson to name a few.

“One of my favorite discoveries at last year’s Jazztube was the trumpet playing of Cologne based Jazz trumpeter Peter Protschka.
When Thomas Kimmerle announced then that Protschka would be a part of his band at the Ortszentrum in Bonn Dottendorf there was only one place to be on Thursday night.
